About us
Stephen M. Chen, MD, is a board-certified plastic surgeon, with two offices in Richmond and Midlothian, Virginia. With years of experience and extensive training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Chen is well-known for his compassionate bedside manner and ability to create naturally beautiful results.
Dr. Chen attended Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Medicine, graduating in 1997 with his doctorate in medicine. He then completed a residency program and internship at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical Center. In addition, he pursued a plastic surgery residency at the same university in 2003 followed by an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Grotting Plastic Surgery in Birgmingham, Alabama in 2004.
