Dr. Viess is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty board certification in sports medicine.He delivers care at Stanford Health Care – ValleyCare in Pleasanton. Dr. Viess focuses on arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine, with a special interest in arthroscopic reconstruction of the shoulder and knee. Topics include the biomechanics of pitching, and shoulder and elbow injuries in the throwing athlete. Dr. Viess is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the California Orthopaedic Association.He strives to offer his patients the most advanced, least invasive surgical procedures, including ACL reconstruction, meniscal surgery, and arthroscopic rotator cuff and labral repairs.
