About us
Sumera Younus, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who treats patients 18 years and older. She provides preventative care, including annual wellness exams, well-woman exams, vaccinations, pre-employment physicals and manages acute and chronic conditions. She treats a wide range of conditions, including cold and flu symptoms, asthma, allergies, ADHD, anxiety and depression, heart disease, high cholesterol, COPD, thyroid disease, obesity and urinary tract infections.
Dr. Younus is a family medicine physician who prioritizes patient-centered care. She emphasizes prevention, including a balanced diet and regular exercise. She prefers alternatives to medication whenever possible and works closely with her patients to ensure they understand their options. She strives to build long-term relationships with her patients and provide comprehensive, preventive care.
Dr. Younus grew up in Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan. She enjoys traveling, hiking and cooking a variety of new dishes. She loves to learn constantly and practice resilience, gratitude and optimism.
Dr. Younus earned her medical degree at Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan and completed her family medicine residency at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac, Michigan.
