Sunburst Trading Co-The Shell Shop in St. Augustine Beach is not the best place to shop for touristy, gift items. I went there over the Christmas holiday to buy some gifts for the folks back home and had a few questions I wanted to ask before I made my purchase. The young, teenaged female behind the main counter in the front was way too busy goofing off with a what looked like a male co-worker stocking the floor- I think his name was George. She totally ignored me when I tried to get her attention. I felt like I was breaking up a private party, so I just left. Thank goodness there are other similar shops in the area just a few doors down offering good customer service. Too bad for The Shell Shop, but I spent $350 elsewhere on lovely gifts for my family!!
