The vehicle that was purchased had an odometer reading at less than 90K miles. After approx. 1.5 years, it was listed on http://cars.com and a carfax report was obtained.
Its pretty obvious that the 205,000 miles went to exempt from reporting by Kendall Richards. He claims that he gave an AMU statement, I believe he called it, which was something along the lines of Actual Miles Unknown.
The Miles were clearly known, and because federal law requires EVERY vehicle to have an odometer statement with exception of vehicles over ten yrs and a few others, Kendall interpreted this as meaning he had no obligation to disclose an approximation of the miles of the vehicle. My question to him was not answered. What was wrong the original odometer?
I hope to take him out of business. Of all the things to disclose, I'd think he legally had an obligation to disclose the 100,000 miles that were not on the odometer, that he clearly knew about when he purchased the vehicle, all carfax considering.......
