About us
Susan M. Mucha, M.D. was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia and received her medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas in Nevis, West Indies. She completed her residency at Stamford Hospital where she earned the Alfred W. Wolfsohn, M.D. Award for Excellence in Clinical Medicine. Dr. Mucha completed her fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and her fellowship in Sleep Medicine at Emory University. She holds board certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease, sleep medicine, and internal medicine. Dr. Mucha has presented at national meetings and has published in medical journals. She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Mucha is fluent in Spanish and French. Dr. Mucha specializes in pulmonary disease, critical care and sleep medicine. She treats patients ages 16 and older. She has a special interest in obstructive sleep apnea and narcolepsy. In her spare time, Dr. Mucha enjoys traveling, playing the piano, attending concerts, spending time with family and her rescue dog, and honing her skills as a blossoming foodie. Dr. Mucha welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
