Tannin Corporation was founded in 1944 to manufacture and distribute leather chemicals to the large concentration of tanners in New England. The current ownership was established in 1979 with its headquarters in Peabody, Massachusetts. The company has grown to become the largest wet-end chemical supplier in North America, serving the United States and Canada, with a subsidiary company in Mexico, Tannin Mexico S.A. de C.V. Tannin Corporation distributes its leather chemicals worldwide.
