Tenee Lopez, MD, is a general physiatrist in the Department of Physical Medicine and Neuro-Rehabilitation at Barrow Neurological Institute.

Dr. Lopez specializes in neuro-rehabilitation, primarily focusing on brain injury and stroke recovery and on spasticity management. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Lopez earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her internal medicine internship at Abington-Jefferson Health in Pennsylvania, followed by her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital in Scottsdale, Arizona. She served as chief resident in her final year.

Dr. Lopez’s research interests include adaptive sports medicine. She has contributed to the second edition of a clinical guide on this topic, which will be published by Springer Nature.
