nov.23,2011 my husband decided to have supper at b/d as we arrived we noticed the oyster special. oh it was special. they were the worst oysters we have ever had. we asked the server if they were made fresh, his responded yes. i find it hard to believe they were not frozen, the quality of the batter was the worst we ever had. we had to send them back as they were not able to be eaten. my husband ordered 1 grouper dinner that we would share. i have had grouper in fine restaurents and corner pubs but never had i had this tecture in grouper before. leads me to believe it was not the real thing. then we were charged 7.99 for 2 salads can not fiqure out you divide 7.99 by 2. asked the waiter if one salad came with the meal answer was yes . asked why we were charged for 2 and not just 1. just some double talk. i was so frustrated at this point we just wanted our bill and forget this whole awful dinner.
we have eated here many times when they have a lobster special as we lived in new england and love lobster. it has always been fine, but how can you mess up a lobster. can't serve a copy of that. we will stick with the lobster. salad bar was fine. we were very dissappointed that the owner of b/d never even bothered to come buy to see what was wrong. things sure have changed in customer service. want to say thge server very prompt and polite.
