The Hut

Lakeside cabin for rent in sandy Waushara County in central Wisconsin. The Hut is a 4-bedroom log home built in 1996 on the former site of a small Red Cottage which overlooked Big Hills Lake since the 1940's. Below the Hut is 100 feet of sandy beach sinking gently into the lake providing an excellent, safe swimming area. The Hut is for rent on a weekly basis in summer for $1600/week. Saturday check-in/check out is preferred, but we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. Off-season rates are negotiable and we will consider renting for weekends or any other periods of time. The Hut is located on Big Hills Lake in Waushara County, Wisconsin near the towns of Wild Rose, Mt. Morris, Saxville and Wautoma. We provide camp fire wood, wireless internet service, a 12 foot fishing boat with a 6 HP motor, a canoe, floatation vests and a variety of recreational equipment such as bikes and beach gear. There are several beautiful golf courses in the area, a frisbee golf course, Nordic Mountain Ski/Snowboard Hill and Wake Park, many public trout streams, snowmobile trails and area attractions and restaurants. The Hut is also 27 miles from Lake Poygan/and the Fox River system. We also offer free access to near-by 40 acres of camping, ATV trails and a private target shooting range.
