Lawrence X. O’Reilly has practiced law since 1991 and is admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Lawrence began his career as an Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorneys’ Office, and in his 16+ years as a Prosecutor worked in Supervisory roles in the Criminal Prosecutions Bureau and Felony Trial Division. Furthermore, Lawrence was the Supervisor of the Traffic Division, where he supervised 25 other prosecutors. As a result of his numerous years working as a prosecutor, Mr. O’Reilly has honed his skills as a litigator and makes use of his expertise defending criminal and traffic cases. Specifically, Mr. O’Reilly handles: Criminal Law: Theft and property crimes, narcotics, weapons violations, sex offenses, armed Robbery, aggr. battery, first degree murder, and all other felony and misdemeanor crimes. Will appear on holidays and weekends at Bond Court, and will make jail visits regarding legal advice. Traffic Law: DUI’s (felony and misdemeanor), driving while license is suspended or revoked, speeding, driver’s license reinstatement hearings before the Secretary of State Office, and all other felony and misdemeanor traffic-related offenses. Civil Law: Contract law, landlord/tenant disputes, fee disputes and other civil law disputes.
