Jerry Thielen established Thielen Turf in 1960 as Thielen Trenching, installing farm drainage systems.
In 1964 Thielen Trenching installed their first Golf Course Irrigation System. In 1965 Thielen Trenching changed their name to Thielen Turf Irrigation.
