About us
Dr. Murthy grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where his father was a physician. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, he earned his medical degree from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Murthy completed his internal medicine internship/residency and cardiology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and its subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Disease. He, his wife, Dr. Geetha Rao, and their son and daughter live in Peachtree City. In his spare time, he enjoys backpacking, international travel and canoeing.
