Thuyvan N. Hoang, MD, is a board-certified obesity medicine specialist focused on optimized metabolic performance, preventive medicine, and medical weight loss management for adults. Hoang has a singular vision of providing compassionate care and highly values being a good listener to all her patients. She’s interested in finding the best treatment plan for each patient. She takes pride in being communicative, knowledgeable, and caring. She’s committed to the long-term treatment of the disease of obesity. By utilizing the latest technology and medical support, her comprehensive approach to care includes improvement in obesity-associated comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, and arthritis pain.
Hoang is also an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
She is double board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Outside of work, Hoang is a physical activity enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her family.
