About us
Timothy Bissonette is a physical therapist at the University of Vermont Medical Center and a teaching assistant at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at UVM and NeuroRecover Training Institute. Timothy specializes in neurological rehabilitation, prosthetics and orthotics, falls/balance, geriatrics, and wheelchair seating and mobility. He treats patients with conditions such as concussions, movement disorders, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Muscular Dystrophy, vertigo, brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke.He uses techniques such as LSVT BIG, which is a treatment designed to improve movement for patients with Parkinson’s disease.Tim believes that one of the most rewarding aspects of being a neurologic physical therapist is making a difference in his patient’s ability to return to their daily lives and functions. He enjoys the opportunity to build relationships with patients and families and the chance to deliver quality care to meet each patient’s needs and goals.
