Hello Barrington! I am a Registered and Licensed Dietitian with a Master's degree in Nutrition and Wellness from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL. I completed my dietetic internship through Benedictine University as well. I obtained board certification in gerontological nutrition which is a passion of mine. I became a dietitian after years of struggling with my own weight. I saw results when I started a fitness regime and eating healthier and decided this was the path for me! I could not be happier with my decision and could not imagine my life without my education. I believe in person-centered care and a tailored plan to each individual- what works for one person may not work for you. I believe in taking small steps to lead to big changes. I strongly believe in a hands-on approach for learning- I really love grocery shopping with clients!
I have worked in many areas of the field, including, but not limited to geriatrics, weight loss/gain, wellness, fitness, pediatrics, education, psychiatrics and dialysis.
I currently work at a community college in the area as a program coordinator for nutrition students. Education is a great passion of mine. I enjoy traveling, baking, cooking, being active and spending time with my family, friends and really cute dog. My favorite place in the whole world is the beach!
