Philosophy: I like to begin with a person where they currently are, determine where they would like to be and build a personalized plan with each person that can help them realize their lifestyle and nutrition goals. With often times confusing information in the media today, I like to build a good foundation of knowledge so that a patient can learn how and why nutrition and the changes we make can work to build a healthy lifestyle that works for you. I believe and like to treat everyone with the utmost respect for their experience and treat them as a whole complete person. Let’s take a look at some of the other contributing factors in your life such as stress, sleep, physical activity and draw upon those resources in a productive way for our healthful lifestyle quest. Food is more than fuel for your body. Food is culture, family, love, comfort and sometimes a source of pain. Let’s work together to build a healthy relationship with food that will bring joy and vibrant health in your life!

My background includes: Working with active duty military members and their families. I have first-hand experience in child feeding, individual and small group counseling and community health assessments. I find working one on one with patients to meet their goals most rewarding.

Just for fun: In my spare time I like to hike the surrounding trails, cook and eat outdoors and travel to wild and interesting places. I have experienced the food and cultures of North and South America, North Africa, Morocco, Ireland and Thailand and plan on more food adventures. One of my greatest joys is my family and I love to spend time enjoying those relationships in my life.
