About us
I chose to become an advanced practice provider because I want to be involved in serving the underserved communities. I saw a need for health education on how to improve health to achieve healthy living while working on a busy medical surgical unit in the hospital. Grassroot education is important to reduce hospital admissions, hence, I chose to work in primary care because it is the closest level of care to people. I want to participate in building a healthy population, so that people can achieve optimal level of health possible. I want to be involved in empowering people to take charge of their health. My approach to patient care is patient-centered. I believe in listening to patients and to using shared decision-making. This approach is best because I do not want my patients to feel unheard and do not want to feel like a decision is imposed on them. When I not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking and listening to music.
