About us
South Oklahoma City, or Inner City South, is an area of the city located south of the I-40, and is home to OKC’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Despite the name, Capitol Hill is not located near the Capitol Campus where state government buildings are, but is instead a haven of historic and entertainment centers that cater to the cultural needs of the area. Established as a separate city, Capitol Hill has since been annexed by Oklahoma City, yet it retains its own chamber of commerce, newspaper, and downtown district. Another cultural landmark in South Oklahoma is Stockyards City. This area was created as a public/private partnership in the hopes of retaining and preserving the early 20th century aesthetic of the businesses in that neighborhood.
