UMRI (Home Care Organizations (HCO's) can provide home care services to children, to qualify the child would need to have a disability of some sort and need assistance with activities they can’t do themselves, because we are not a Daycare. A Home Care Aide can’t watch the children of more than one family at a time. Codes and Definitions that pertain to this topic: 1796.12 (b) “Child” or “children” means an individual or individuals under 18 years of age. 1796.12(n) defines home care services as non-medical services and assistance provided by a registered Home Care Aide to a client who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability, cannot perform these activities.
