Founded in 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, Universal Grinding Corporation (U.G.C.) is a premier precision grinding facility with over 80 years of trusted industry experience. Specializing in a wide range of grinding services, U.G.C. is dedicated to delivering high-quality components with unmatched precision and performance across the automotive, medical, food, textile, and heavy transportation industries.

From its humble beginnings in downtown Cleveland to its current 80,000-square-foot facility on the city’s near west side, U.G.C. has remained committed to local manufacturing and exceptional craftsmanship. After facing closure in 1986, the company was revived by Don Toth, a long-time employee with deep family roots at U.G.C., who transformed the business into one of the largest job shop grinding facilities east of the Mississippi River.

U.G.C. offers advanced precision grinding services tailored to customer specifications, with expertise in cylindrical grinding, surface grinding, centerless grinding, and more.
