Here in Greenville, South Carolina at Upstate Dog Academy we call our canine obedience program The Upstate Way! Just like parents teach their kids to count before introducing math, our trainers teach dogs to communicate before introducing stimulating circumstances to them. The goal is always to help the dog AND human take their next step.
The end result depends on your commitment and goal. Some people want a family pet with good manners while some people want a therapy dog.
