Utah Pregnancy Massage Care specializes in prenatal and postnatal massage. Massage during pregnancy can be very beneficial and safely given to almost all women in their 1st, 2nd, & 3rd trimesters.
Prenatal massage can help ease headaches, release back & hip tension, reduce leg soreness, ease sciatic pain, reduce neck pain, and help reduce swelling in the hands, feet, and ankles. It can also help increase energy, reduce anxiety, reduce fatigue & insomnia, and reduce overall muscle pain and soreness. Massage during pregnancy is also a great time to practice breath awareness and relaxation techniques to help prepare the mind and body for labor.
It is always your choice of optional side-lying massage, or face-down/face-up massage (which can be safely given with a specialty pregnancy body cushion). Body positioning in each session is customized for every woman's optimal comfort.
Postpartum Recovery Massage is also available to help women recover from the physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion of labor & birth, and it can help to establish their "pre-pregnant" shape & alignment.
