About us

Vaishali Krishnamoorthy, MD is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at New York-Presbyterian. She brings a strong foundation in internal medicine and oncology, shaped by extensive clinical training and research experience. Dr. Krishnamoorthy completed her fellowship in Hematology and Oncology and her residency in Internal Medicine at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, where she also served as Chief Fellow and Chief Medical Resident.
Her clinical interests include cancer care quality improvement, psychosocial aspects of oncology, and advancing treatment options for head and neck cancers. She has contributed to multiple research studies, including a pivotal Phase 3 trial investigating novel radiotherapy approaches for elderly patients with squamous cell carcinoma, and has published in peer-reviewed journals on topics ranging from thrombotic disorders to COVID-19-related neurological complications.
Dr. Krishnamoorthy is actively involved in community service and mentorship and currently serves as President of the Vaishali and Jayanth Krishnan Foundation. She is fluent in English and Tamil.
