About us
Dr Valenie Rivera-Roig is a board-certified dermatologist who also performs cutaneous surgery and cosmetic dermatologic procedures. Dr Rivera-Roig obtained her medical degree from The University of Puerto Rico where she graduated with highest honors. She received multiple awards including The Janet M Glasgow Memorial Award for graduating first in her class. She also completed her Dermatology residency there and was elected chief resident her last year. She wrote several articles and published in The International Journal of Dermatology. After obtaining her board certification, she remained in private practice in her native Ponce, Puerto Rico for 9 years before joining The Advanced Dermatology team.
