About us
Veena D. Kunigal, MD, a radiation oncologist who is seeing patients as part of SSM Health Cancer Care at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. Her main focus is in providing specialized care for the community utilizing state of the art technology. Dr. Kunigal completed post-graduate internship and residency radiation oncology programs at the University of Kentucky (Lexington, KY) and the University of Kansas (Kansas City, KS). Additionally, she completed a pediatric radiation oncology rotation at St. Jude’s Research Hospital (Memphis, TN). Since July 2015, Dr. Kunigal has held the title of Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology, Saint Louis University School of Medicine, while simultaneously providing excellent care to her patients at SSM Health Saint Louis University, Center for Radiation Medicine, implementing several advanced technologies in treating breast, lung, brain, gastrointestinal and other cancers. She also treats patients using stereotactic radiosurgery techniques.
