My wife and I recently had dinner at Vesuvios in Glenwood, Md. We are going there again tonight with friends to celebrate a birthday. In all honesty, this is my favorite restaurant in the area. We have been all over Italy through the years, and we haven't had food like this since the last time we were in Genoa. They serve great pesto dishes and you can even create your own meal if it isn't on the menu! For instance, on Valentine's Day, I had Scallops, Jumbo Shrimp, and Crab over a bed of baby spinach leaves, with a pesto and wine sauce, (Great bread with real garlic and herb sauce to dip into). It was so good, it was almost a shame to eat it, it was that pretty. But I did, and it was the best meal I have ever had! We went back about 1 month later on my birthday and of course that dish was no longer on the menu as it was a valentine's day special.
