National Armed Forces Day- We salute each and every one who volunteer to serve country.
February 27, 1950, proclamation announcing the establishment of the holiday, President Truman wrote:
“I invite the Governors of the States, Territories, and possessions to issue proclamations calling for the celebration of that day in such manner as to honor the Armed Forces of the United States and the millions of veterans who have returned to civilian pursuits.” - Harry S. “In a world of temporary things, rescue dogs offer us a chance at something lasting – a bond forged in the fires of second chances.”
Please go to your closest animal shelter - volunteer, become a foster parent, donate or take home your forever best friend.
Rescue dogs provide a variety of therapeutic benefits, too. Children, teens, and adults with autism may benefit from services provided by trained rescue dogs. As emotional support companions, rescue dogs help to relieve anxiety, depression, and PTSD among the military or those who suffer from mental illness.
They make excellent teachers, too. Rescue dogs show children about caring and kindness. Rescue dogs can even be trained to rescue us from dangerous situations or help to investigate the cause of a fire.
Give a dog a second chance to be loved and give love.

Happy World Turtle Day!
American Tortoise Rescue is an organization that helps in wellbeing and rescue of tortoises and turtles. Learning the differences between the two creatures is the first step in understanding them better. Every year, World Turtle Day is observed on May 23. It was started in the year 2000 by American tortoise Rescue as a way of urging people to come together to understand tortoises and turtles better.
The best way to celebrate the special day is by adopting a turtle or a tortoise and ensuring that we contribute to their wellbeing. We can also donate to turtle conservation centers. Volunteering at turtle rescue centers can help us to understand the challenges faced by them and urge people to create a better environment for them.

At certain moments, there's nothing more satisfying than slipping off your shoes and feeling the ground beneath your feet. This is especially true after a tiring day at the office when your feet seem confined in footwear. It's also wonderful to walk on soft, vibrant grass or to take a leisurely stroll on a sandy beach and dip your toes in the water. Today is the perfect opportunity to spend the entire day without wearing any shoes. Embrace the freedom!
