Therapy is a place for personal growth. While seeking counseling services is not always an easy decision, it is most certainly a worthwhile one. As your counselor, it is my goal to help you grow into the person you want to become. Take control of your life, as we work as a team to tackle and conquer anything and everything imperative to your treatment. My therapeutic approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I will use a more eclectic style, as I feel necessary to tailor to each client’s needs. At your own pace, let’s begin therapy in a safe environment at Portrait Health Centers.
My Master’s Degree is in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, which was obtained from a rigorous program at the William Paterson University of New Jersey. Furthermore, I am a Licensed Associate Counselor skilled to work with those of all ages. My previous professional experience has primarily been derived from working with adults in a mental health hospital. Working at a mental health hospital has afforded me with a rich and diverse clinical training experience. In my most recent professional experience, I have had the opportunity to do in-home therapy with children in need of counseling services. With my education and devotion for counseling, I am eager to continue my journey as your counselor.
Self-care is key to a well-balanced life, professionally and personally. In my spare time, I enjoy participating in a variety of activities including, exercising, cooking/baking, spending time with my family/friends/dogs, and relaxing by the beach or pool. Additionally, I enjoy attending professional seminars/conferences and reading literature to continue to grow professionally.
