About us
Vratika Agarwal, MD, is a non-invasive cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the Faculty of Medicine at Columbia University. She is board-certified in cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac computed tomography, and specializes in structural and valvular imaging.Dr. Agarwal earned her medical degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India. She completed her residency and cardiology fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital/Northwell Health, where she served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. She went on to complete a fellowship in structural interventional imaging at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She also completed advanced training in clinical research at the University of California, San Francisco.Before joining Columbia, Dr. Agarwal was a member of the structural heart disease team at Yale University School of Medicine, where she mentored cardiology fellows, advanced imaging fellows, and sonographers. She continues to teach non-cardiologists about cardiovascular ultrasound and speaks on cardiovascular disease in women. She has also supported initiatives to expand access to healthcare in underserved communities in Hyderabad, India.
