About us

Dr. Mashman attended the University of Connecticut and NYU School of Medicine. His Residency, Chief Residency, and CV Fellowship were at Emory University. Dr. Mashman is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, and in Comprehensive Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Mashman's interests include Sports Cardiology, General cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, and non-cardiac surgery. Dr. Mashman has contributed to national practice guidelines and authored book chapters on these topics. He was the founding Deputy Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Interventions. He has been the Director of the Atlanta Regional Society of Echocardiography, and has served on the Echocardiography Committee of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Mashman has been based at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital for many years, and served on many of Piedmont's committees. He is currently Director of Sports Cardiology for Piedmont Healthcare.
