Client Education:
At White Angel, we schedule 30-minute appointments in order to allow our veterinarian and professional staff the opportunity to be thorough and informative. We provide you with answers to your questions about your pet’s care, including nutritional and behavioral counseling as well as information about diseases and wellness care. We are here to help you! Surgery:
At White Angel Animal Hospital, we perform most soft tissue as well as orthopedic surgical procedures. Our modern surgical suite is fully equipped to perform even the most complicated surgery. Completely isolated from the remainder of the hospital, the surgery suite can accommodate patients of all size while maintaining a sterile surgical environment. A heated surgery table prevents patients from getting too cold while under anesthesia. The advanced monitoring equipment measures temperature, E K G, blood pressure, oxygen saturation in the blood, and respiration, all of which are monitored closely and charted during anesthetic procedures.

Laser Surgery:
We are also pleased to offer laser surgery capabilities using the Cutting Edge 15 Watt CO2 Laser System. Laser technology affords a higher quality surgical experience by decreasing intra-operative bleeding and causing less tissue damage during surgery. This allows our patients to heal faster and experience less pain after surgery. Surgical procedures such as declaws and mass removals will particularly benefit from the use of laser technology.

Cold Laser Therapy:
We are also pleased to offer our veterinary patients cold laser therapy. This is a rapidly emerging new technology that allows us to reduce pain and inflammation and improve the quality of life in our patients without the use of drugs or surgery.

Dentistry:
Periodontal disease is the most common form of infection that is seen in dogs and cats. Between 75% to 80% of dogs aged 2 years and older are affected, and periodontal disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in dogs. Dental disease is not just limited to the oral cavity- bacteria from the mouth enter the bloodstream and can affect major organs, such as the heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. As is the case with other diseases, prevention is the best strategy. At White Angel we counsel you on different ways to prevent periodontal disease, such as dental scaling. Scaling the teeth regularly prevents gingivitis from progressing to irreversible periodontitis. We carry the most advanced dental equipment so that we may safely perform dentistry, from simple scaling and polishing to more complicated extractions.

Complete In-House Diagnostic Laboratory:
Includes an I D E X X VetLab Suite - the world’s most complete in-house veterinary laboratory. White Angel can test in-house and deliver accurate and immediate information on blood chemistries, electrolytes, hematology, endocrinology, blood gases, and urine. This allows for a more rapid diagnosis so that necessary treatments can be started earlier.

Digital Radiography:
The White Angel uses a Digital Radiography System, which delivers unprecedented image clarity in just 6 seconds. The increased detail and faster results lead to a much more rapid, accurate diagnosis. This technology facilitates transfer to a board-certified radiologist for official readings when required.

Telemedicine:
With more than 75 specialists available through our reference laboratory, we offer you the most extensive medical knowledge. At White Angel we can transmit our radiographs, ultrasound images, and E K G readings online to obtain a second opinion from a board-certified specialist. We are also members of the Veterinary Information Network, an online network in which our doctors can consult with thousands of other doctors worldwide.

Pain Management:
Our pain management protocols rely on a multi-modal approach to achieve better pain relief while using lower doses of individual drugs. We routinely give our surgery patients pain medication just before and after the procedures to alleviate post-operative discomfort. We also treat painful conditions such as degenerative joint disease and hip dysplasia so that your pet can maintain a good quality of life.

Microchipping:
Permanent identification for your pet. Microchipping has united millions of lost pets with their families. Microchipping is very quick and virtually painless. The microchip is about the size of a grain of rice. White Angel uses the Home Again pet microchip brand.

Ultrasound:
This valuable tool works as an aid in the diagnosis of many medical conditions by allowing our doctors to visualize internal organs such as the liver, kidneys, spleen, bladder and heart. The procedure uses the touch of a probe making it a painless, non –invasive diagnostic test. Ultrasound-guided biopsies and aspirates of certain organs or masses can also give our doctors a more definitive diagnosis of the condition of the patient.
