Biography
I am a lifelong, Georgia resident. I attended Georgia Tech for my undergraduate degree, and graduated from Emory School of Dentistry in 1981. I completed a General Practice Residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. I was a part time clinical instructor at Emory School of Dentistry from 1982, until it closed in 1989. I am now a clinical instructor at Georgia Regents College of Dental Medicine. I supervise dental students during their rotation at the Good Samaritan Dental Clinic. I volunteer my services at this clinic one day a month.

I have received my Fellowship as well as my Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry by completing thousands of hours of Continuing Education. You may go to their website for many patient resources. I just recently received my Life Long Learning and Service Recognition from the same organization. I am a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Georgia Academy of General Dentistry. Northwestern Dental Society, Georgia Mass Disaster Team, as well as the Steve Lipson Emory Study Club.

I was inspired by my childhood dentist, Dr. Scott Tullier at age 10 to become a dentist. He retired 4 years ago. I inherited his practice and added it to mine. I still treat Dr. Tullier, as well as his family. My hobbies include reading, scuba diving, flying, wood working, wine making and riding a large cruiser motorcycle.

General dentistry has advanced by leaps and bounds over the years. Gone are the procedures of old, that delivered substandard results. Now, almost anything can be accomplished with the right technology and know how. We use the latest technology, and I am thoroughly trained in the latest techniques. That, combined with our unwavering commitment to you, results in an experience that's unlike any other in the dentistry field. I have been serving the Marietta and East Cobb area for 33 years. We prefer to see one patient at a time, therefore maintaining a personal non-rushed relationship. We also enjoy children, and are now treating third generation patients. We practice all phases of dentistry. I believe in a conservative approach to dentistry. I try to provide dental care that you need and want. I never try to "sell" patients unnecessary or unwanted dental treatment. Your wishes and best dental care are our greatest concerns.

I have been married to my wife Patty Hawkins, (a Cobb County school teacher) for 29 years, and have two grown children.
