World Finance Corporation in Mcminnville is the tackiest financial institution if ever done business with. After years of doing business with them on and off and paying loans off early even. I had my hrs cut at work and have had medical problems and paid late. I didn't promise a pmt but they documented my call as though I did therefore made me out to be a liar! The girl even said on the phone that it was fine since I had always done good with my payments. The next call was accusatory with a differ girl saying that I failed to make it to the office the Friday before with payment as promised. I didn't promise and told as to why I hadn't made the payment. The girl asked when I would be making the payment and I said, I don't know. I have had some medical problems and that has been taking my money. The girl asked if I could make the payment on that Friday and I said plain as day and night I don't know. I didn't lie, I didn't know. I will pay my car pmt, buy groc, and pay to keep a rough over my head before I pay a personal loan. Who wouldn't? Not to mention I'm a single parent with no help at all and am having medical problems plus lost pay at work. It happens. The next call was the same mess asking if I would be in to make the payment that day and I said I didn't know for sure but I was planning on trying to pay that day. I was at work and was getting upset because I was called a liar because the girl said I had promised the payment twice. I said no I didn't and when I talked to the first girl she acted like I had been a good customer and there wasn't a serious issue with me paying it late. The second two calls I was called a liar and fussed at asking when I was making the payment! The manager called back at my work YELLING at me and had me crying! She accused me of lying and pretty much demanded I get there and make the payment and I was at work! I had planned on trying to pay the bill when I got my check but with her attitude I thought.... what can they do? I've already got a late fee and it doesn't affect my credit until over 30 days late. They will get money after everything else is paid! The manager was so ugly acting, accusing, and yelling that I hung up on her and told her not to call me back at work again. She called repeatedly like 10 times!!!! My boss answered the phone and told her she was not allowed to call an employees work number like she was and he wouldn't tell me anything. He said, your calling her work upsetting her and tieing up a business line. If you continue to call this number, we will call the sheriff's dept (we are in the next town over). He told her not to call back and that she was in the wrong and that he had never heard a business act like that to anyone and he would not allow it. She continued to call back and I hung up on her over and over. The other girl in the office told her not to call anymore. She kept calling! She was told again that we would have to call the law if she kept calling. Its called phone harrassment. She had already spoke to me and was told not to call this number and to reach me in another manner but not at work. She called back and demanded my work address to send papers to sue me. She called like 4 times asking the same thing and the other gal her telling her the same thing look it up! lol Get the phone book out and look it up! Mame, get the phone book out and look it up. After, the way you've acted I'm not telling you anything. Look it up! click she finally gave up callin my work then started calling everyone on my list of numbers of friends and family that could be called in case they couldn't reach me. Well, they had already reached me and knew what was going on yet they called as a hairyassment tactict! They told each of them to have me call them that they needed to speak to me. Well, they had spoke to me... I mean yelled at me several times along with my co-workers over, and over, and over! They just do that to try to force you into finding a way to make the payment but it will not work with me. This is actually the newest bill I have since I was paid off with them since earlier in year and about 3 months ago started this particular loan and will pay my home, car and another personal loan I have 1st. I'm not really familiar with all the rules of paying bills late and what they can do to me because this isn't my normal practice but I am going to throw it right back at them. When I talk to corp office of this company I will find out if this is how all their offices are ran. This is just wrong. I will find out the laws on this, pay as I can, pay what I can when I can after other needs are met first and never do business with this company again (or any affiliated businesses either!) I don't see how these ppl sleep at night and I can't but wonder about karma for them. I would never suggest anyone do business with this company!!! I will deal with local bank only from now on which is where my other loans are! Head warning of this company! I'm hearing other locations are the same after asking around about them. Not sure outside this area but in this area yeah. Maybe more finacial places are like this but at almost 40 I have never had this happen ever!
