About us

Our Executive Chef Ravi Harryram was born in Trinidad and Tobago to a Caribbean Dad and an Indian mother and then was later raised by his grandparents after being found in an orphanage. The overall influence of his flavors that he creates is brought in by his origins. Life was difficult in Trinidad and Tobago, and to escape the violence and drug culture he embraced cooking with his grandmother at a young age, where he learned his passion for cooking. If you were to see him cook it is as if he was dancing on a cloud because he pours so much love into his creations. After years of working by his grandmother’s side, who was a trouble shooter in 5 star hotels throughout the Caribbean, he was able to find problems with recipes and correct them. After he moved to the United States he started off in New York and then worked his way to California. Having health issues himself, he realized the importance of a dietitian where he found out he was Gluten- Intolerance. Chef Ravi realized that Gluten was in almost everything you use to cook including sauces, bases, seasonings, and others. The foods that Chef Ravi found that did not have Gluten in them were flavorless so he started working with marinades and rubs to correct the issue. Then he began working in medical centers and hotels hosting presidential functions and created menus for multiple venues. From this he started “Your Health Chef” which later transitioned into World Gardens Café. Through research and practice, he was able to expand to dairy-free and soy-free options as well.
