Wynwidyn Press in Pinckney is a publisher that I contacted several weeks back. I asked very simply for two things. One a copy of their contract, and the other a face to face meeting. Both were initially refused.
After much badgering the owner sent me a copy of the worst written contract I have ever seen. Authors beware of some of the terms. She advertises ebooks, however told me in her email they do not it set up yet. She also as of the writing of this does not even have books on Amazon.
I wanted to meet, talk about my book and was met with first they had to have my manuscript. I had several books I wanted to publish, how dare I first want a face to face meeting. I have since met with and published with another publisher down the highway, small quaint place, wonderful staff who answered my questions.
I would suggest that they realize when someone is going to give them thousands of dollars they owe that author a meeting. No demands, no submissions first. I wish them the best, however they need to step up their service.

Wynwidyn Press in Pinckney is a self-publishing house created for authors by authors. The office is amazing with a real tree in the middle! Robin Moyer is the owner and she is very compassionate and helpful to writers. I strongly recommend this publishing company.
