Dr. Li's profound passion for vascular surgery is evident in his tireless dedication to his patients, his commitment to education, and his personal pursuit of excellence. He is driven by a genuine desire to empower patients through understanding, ensuring the best possible outcomes. Dr. Li began his medical journey at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. After completing his residency at Maimonides Medical Center, he pursued a specialized fellowship training at Northwell's Northshore University Hospital. Before joining LIJ Forest Hills Hospital in 2025, he was at Richmond University Medical Center for the last 10 years. There he was the chief of vascular surgery from 2019-2025. Richmond University Medical Center is a bustling Level One Trauma Center, where he gained extensive experience in critical situations. Since 2011, he has had the privilege of sharing his knowledge by teaching surgical residents and students, which he finds incredibly rewarding. Dr. Li's practice covers a wide range of vascular conditions, from planned elective surgeries to urgent cases and emergency trauma. Dr. Li truly believes that when patients understand their condition and are motivated, they achieve the best results. That's why he always takes the time to have thorough conversations with his patients, their families, and any other doctors involved in their care. Outside of the hospital, he makes it a point to challenge himself both physically and mentally. Dr. Li finds that this commitment to personal well-being directly translates into better focus and efficiency, allowing him to provide the best possible care for his patients. Having grown up in Brooklyn and with family in Queens, he feels a deep connection to the New York City community he serves.
