Yanina Figueroa, DMD

Dr. Yanina Figueroa, DMD, is a talented and dedicated endodontist who thrives on the challenges presented by her specialty. When asked why she chose endodontics, she enthusiastically replies, “I love the challenge—every person and tooth is different. There is never a dull moment, just a dull bur!”
Originally from Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico, Dr. Figueroa attended Blanca Malaret, her town’s public high school. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez Campus before pursuing her DMD at the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine. Building on her foundation, she completed a two-year General Practice Residency at the same institution, where she had the opportunity to work with diverse patients with complex health conditions in a hospital setting. As a faculty member of the General Practice Residency, Dr. Figueroa contributed her expertise to the Diabetes Clinic and University District Hospital. Concurrently, she pursued a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Puerto Rico, specializing in the field of Public Health.
During her post-graduate years, Dr. Figueroa developed a deep passion for endodontics while working as a general dentist in private practice. Determined to make her dreams a reality, she pursued advanced training in endodontics at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. There, she trained under leading experts in the field, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and embracing the University’s commitment to excellence in endodontics.
Dr. Figueroa takes great pride in providing her patients with the most positive experience during their visits. She believes in working closely with general dentists to ensure that the best possible treatment is delivered, fostering a synergistic approach to patient care.
Currently, Dr. Figueroa is an active member of the Georgia Dental Association and holds the esteemed title of Diplomate of the American Association of Endodontists, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Figueroa resides in Atlanta and shares her home with her beloved dogs and husband. She finds joy in traveling and possesses a passion for refurbishing antique furniture. With a natural talent for crafts and a MacGyver-like resourcefulness, she immerses herself in various creative projects.
