About us

Zeid M. Keilani, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman, and completed his general surgery residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. He completed his fellowship training in advanced minimally invasive and bariatric surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is board certified in general surgery.

Dr. Keilani is skilled in advanced laparoscopic surgery including gastric, intestinal, colorectal, spleen and adrenal surgery. He specializes in weight loss surgery including laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding, laparoscopic gastric bypass, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, and revisional bariatric surgery. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in his field, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
