definitely recommend the tour. Not the one with the hard hats, but the simpler short one. You get to see downstairs where all the massive turbines are, and seeing the breath taking size of the dam is stunning

Great escape from the glitz and lights of the strip. You can go around and walk the tour, and just soak in the view.
