We accidentally stopped by Vision House with my wife looking for a pair of glasses fo her. The guy (he is the owner - the one with glasses on Yelp's photo) showed us his assortment of frames and kindly gave my wife to try some of them. Then we asked how much are they and eye exam together and the guy said $80. We were a bit surprised by such a low price and asked if it is special and the guy answered yes, they have special today. Fine, we went to Dr next door to take exam, he was very-very nice BTW. But when we returned the guy started showing us his frames again and saying that this one is $500, this one is $600, etc. The cheapest appeared to be $350, as I remember. When we asked what was his $80 he said it is just eye exam. We started hesitating if need the glasses fo this price. Yes, his frames are designer's ones by Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, etc, but I can easily find them twice as cheaper. Cohen's optical, for example, has much better prices and service. But that is high-end Newbury str salon - I'm not talking about a bit lower end salons with the same Prada frames. Nevermind, me and my wife just stepped a bit away from the guy to discuss if we really need that glasses. And, guess, what was the reaction of the guy? He became red and started jumping, I a true sense of this word, saying that we're thieves, that we didn't want to pay even for exam and that we wanted to run away. No single word from our side didn't persuade him that we were just discussing things. Guess what he did then? HE PROPOSED TO BUY THE CHEAPEST FRAME AT LEAST OTHERWISE HE CALLS POLICE!!! I'm not kidding - that's exactly what he did!!! We were totally confused by such kind of mad-man maniac bevavior, but fortunately we quickly realized that it is better to wait for police. OK, policemen came (actually three of them), we explained the situation, they said that we need to pay for exam, we paid and left. I don't know what the guy expected policemen to do... But that's not the end of the story:-) When we returned home and checked reviews of the VIsion House, we found that the guy is police' regular customer:-) There is a lot of people who complained that their visit of Vision House ended up with conversation with policemen. Can you imagine that??? Suggestion for everybody: IF YOU WANT TO BE FOOLED, TO BE CHEATED AND THEN BE RIPPED OFF, WANT TO WAIT FOR POLICE AND TALK TO THEM, THEN GO TO VISION HOUSE. For owner: It is not the way to do business in the States! Welcome to America!
