My husband & I stay here always when in Fairbanks, AK. Everywhere is clean & new. Staff friendly & helpful. Accidental left our pillows-they still had after 5 hrs. Free breakfast is great!

Staff was very helpful. Perfect location and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed reading my book on the porch and the privacy of breakfast being served to the room and not done in a group setting.

Al and Verna are the most amazing hosts--they offered to pick me up at the airport. I loved my little room, and I loved that the room refrigerator was stocked with bagels, fruit, milk and juice, and the cupboards with cereal and other goodies. I could eat breakfast whenever I wanted, come and go when I wanted, and leave my extra baggage in their garage while I went on a trip. They offered me ripe raspberries from their garden. Truly, Al and Verna are like great in-laws with open arms.
I will definitely stay with them again.

The Downtown Log Cabin Hideaway is located within walking distance of downtown restaurants, movie theaters, Pioneer Park, and Visitors center. We have two great rooms with shared bath and a loft which is a great place for the kids to play, sleep, and watch TV. We also have a cute studio apartment with a private bath, kitchenette, and a patio. Our new addition is the Hall House with two very lovely rooms that share a bath. Hosts Allen and Verna: are both retired teachers. We have lived in the Fairbanks community since 1975. Allen worked on the pipeline during the construction and has many stories he can share. Verna cooks a great all-you-can-eat breakfast. We love to visit and brag about Alaska. We can help plan and suggest some of the sites in the area for your day of sightseeing.
