My wife and I both got downsized from the same company at around the same time. We were both collecting unemployment but it was not enough to meet our mortgage, utilities and insurance expenses. My wife and I started digging through our drawers and we came up with some collection of jewelry that we had forgotten about or did not want anymore. The appraiser was very nice and professional. He examined, tested and weighed every piece and we left there very pleased with $2500 plus that we did not have when we walked in. We paid the mortgage and I was offered a job a week later.

My old necklace was given to me by my ex with who I had very bad relationship. It was a really nice piece but the memories attached to it were enough to make me not wear it. I visited Gold Rush Refiners in New York recently with my brother and must say how totally impressed we were. Their prices are the best you'll find by a long way and the service is professional, honest and friendly. We were in and out of the building within 10 min or so with cash for gold in our pockets.
