Joe and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We had a ranch style home with an unfinished basement. The space was only partially dug out so the square footage to work with was small but Joe didn't hesitate to come out and meet with us. He was very professional, friendly, and helpful in giving us ideas on how we could best use the space. After taking measurements he came back the next visit with his design and quote for the job. We even decided to alter the original plan he drew up by keeping more storage space and Joe was very flexible in re-working his design. Joe's two sons did a lot of the framing and they were great guys as well. All of the people that came in i.e. electrician, plumbing, drywall, etc were very courteous and hard working. We were anticipating quite a bit of disruption and noise during the project but actually we hardly noticed the work was being done. I would highly recommend J.H. Basement and Joe personally to anyone looking to finish their basement area.

My Testimony
When I went to finish my basement I had a lot of reservations… am I going to get my investment back? How much money will it take to do it right?
 What design/layout to go with? Will it match the upper levels? How painful will the process be - managing contractors, dust/mess, cash flow?
 As such, I shopped 3 different companies. I ended up going with Joe and JH basements. I couldn't have been happier. Joe showed up with a very personal approach. He helped me through the design based on my needs and put the right living space together. More importantly - he walked through the upgrades that would really make it classy, match the upper levels of the home, and allow me to get the return I needed on the investment. Joe uses steel framing and as such - there was virtually no mess. He was very conscientious of his work environment and provided almost no interruption to our daily lives. The proof is in the work - We truly enjoyed the space he created and everyone that we entertained was blown away with the customization. Well…our plans changed. Normally - in such a quick time after finishing a basement you'd be stuck with the costs when trying to sell your house… well, I just listed my house and according to the realtor and buyers- the basement was the selling point.
 I had 14 showings in 9 days - in which time I sold my house for 98% of the asking price. Recouped my entire basement investment and really enjoyed it the 2 years we were in it

We have used Joe at JH Basement to finish our basement and we couldn't have been any happier with the results. Not only Joe did an awesome, creative job but also he finished earlier than his promised dead line. Joe gave us a reasonable price compared to the other contractors,and he did not go over the agreed budget. He was very professional, prompt and clean with his work. We can't brag enough about him and his work. We had a tough time moving, because we didn't want to leave our beautiful basement. We ended up selling our house in 2 months even when the real estate market was so slow. Our buyers fell in love with the house especially the basement that Joe finished for us. I called JH Basement to get an estimate. They were pleasant on the phone, answered all my questions and set up an appt (very professional). Joe showed up on time with a lovely packet that explained everything about their company. He took measurements, showed me much of the work that they had done, asked me what I envisioned and then told me what was and wasn't possible due to code restrictions. It was a very pleasant and informative meeting. He arranged a time on Friday to come back out and drop of the proposal. To our surprise when he came back, he had done a computer drawing of our basement taking into account our wants and his experience. He also presented us with a Proposal, references and a coupon for optional upgrade. He again was on time, pleasant and extremely professional. Unfortunately, we found out that my job was not secure and we had to hold off on the basement. I called Joe and he said - We will be here when you are ready and guarantee our price. What a nice company.

We had our basement finished about three years ago by JH Basement Finish. When the owner Joe Hannah came out he gave us an info packet that had a vast amount of information about recouping our investment and national vs local averages. To be honest, I did not have time to read through the whole thing, I was excited about getting my basement finished. This Spring, my wife and I put our house on the market and we sold it on the first day for the full asking price and the prospective buyer said it was the basement that sold them. If you want to recoup your full investment and at the same time enjoy a beautiful basement I recommend JH Basement Finish.

I'm a stay at home mom with 2 young kids so believe me, my husband I did our research before selecting a company to finish the basement. We really needed someone we could trust and I could not be happier with JH Basement. Joe's contractors were great, especially with my 3 year old who loved having 'worker men' at our house every day. I always watch the reality renovation shows and was nervous about such a big project and having people in and out of our home, but Joe was such a pleasure to work with. He had great suggestions and answered all of our questions. They demolished most of our basement and rebuilt 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, laundry room, living area and put in a full kitchen. With his skills and experience he envisioned exactly what would be perfect for our family. They did an amazing job and in no time at all. My friends and family are in shock of the transformation. My wife and I recently had our basement finished by JH Basement Finish and it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. The work was completed in the amount of time agreed upon and for the cost that was originally contracted except that we added a few extras during construction which joe was more than happy to accommodate these change orders. The work site was kept clean and Joe and his sons (it is a family business) could not have been nicer. The work was completed with an eye to detail and I would highly recommend JH Basement Finish to anyone who is looking to have their basement finished.
