About a year ago, this Meineke changed a thermostat in my truck. Shortly after that, my heater quit working. This was due to the fact that they introduced air into the water lines during that change, but didn't properly remove the air from the lines afterward, leaving an air pocket in the heater core. I returned to them with this problem and they suggested replacing the heater core and the radiator, both of which turned out to be fine and didn't solve the problem. (Because there was still air in the lines.) I then followed every suggestion from them and eventually spent over $3,000 trying to get the problem solved. In the end, about two weeks ago, they wanted to put ANOTHER new radiator in it, claiming that the new one I'd just put in was bad because the bottom half wasn't heating up. (I should point out that the bottom half of the radiator assembly is a transmission cooler, not a radiator. They should have known this.) I told them no, I didn't want to pour another $600 into something that should be just fine. I did some research and suggested that it may have air in the lines. They offered to take a look and claimed that they had hot heat coming out of the vents. When I picked the truck up, I discovered it was still blowing cold. I took it home and spent a whole day getting the air out of the lines myself. Now the heat works, thanks to me, not them. They have not offered to make this right and have brushed me off. I've been a very good customer and trusting their suggestions, I have spent thousands of dollars that I didn't need to spend because they didn't do a thorough job the first time. In addition, they grossly overcharged me for labor that they didn't actually do. When I caught that scam, they did agree to give me credit for the overcharged hours, but they aren't willing to do anything for the fact that they convinced me to replace my entire cooling system (Radiator, heater core, water pump, blend door actuator, etc) when in fact it was their negligence in the first place that caused the problem and it should have been a very easy (and cheap) fix.
